lessons

The lessons are arranged in recurrent introductory cycles of three meetings, in each of them you will be able to make a small simple object for daily use, functional or decorative, using for each lesson a different base modelling technique. Each lesson is open by a short presentations, with images, you can take inspiration from for the piece you are going to create, it will follow the practical part.

You will be introduced to the material and to its working phases. I will show you and you will experience the working and modelling technique such as pinch pot, coiling, slab, strips coiling, hand pressure and kurinuki. 

The lessons generally take place on:

monday, from 19 to 21
tuesday from 19 to 21
sunday, from 17,00 to 19,00 in winter and from 17,30 to 19,30 in summer

As soon as you will have completed the full three lesson introductory cycle, you will be more autonomous and independent and you could attend to any lesson in any order, working on new projects, yours or suggested by me, using one of the just learned techniques, which we will find the most appropriate one, whit the chance to learn how to combine them and making some variations of them.

The studio works with grès, meaning clay fired at very high temperature, which makes it strong even at a reduced thickness and then ideal for daily use object with a contemporary look. 

The lesson will be run in italian and english.
